JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The Graphic Designer creates communications and fund-raising collateral for the San Diego Zoo's Development/Membership Department. Designing printed materials, Web and electronic media projects, fund-raising graphics, signage, advertising, and other collateral are essential functions of the job. Applicants must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suites and Mac design programs, hand illustration, and project management. Knowledge of typography, color and other print processes, and layout/production is necessary. A degree in the graphic design field or equivalent specialized training and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in graphic design and illustration are essential. Selected candidate must be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment. A valid California driver license is required. Final candidates must be able to provide a portfolio of their work.
