The Product Management of Personal Imaging and Audio Division (PIAD) currently has an excellent opportunity within their marketing group. The Product Management Manager will have direct responsibility for managing the Sony's DSLR - Alpha product lines. This position will have accountability for working with SEL business, marketing team and Tokyo development division throughout the product lifecycle to define strategies and establish a lineup that maximizes sales and profitability, while representing the US business in defining product pricing, features and design. This person will evaluate market opportunities and competitive threats to existing and new businesses and make appropriate recommendations. The Product Management Manager will also work closely with product marketing to create a full suite of technical based collateral, white papers, and sales support tools. Daily interaction with sales and support groups on the training and remediation of technical issues will be required. The Product Management Manager will also create and deliver presentations, and will attend regular tradeshows and customer visits.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent. Degree or Concentration in Marketing or Communications
• Must have 3 to 5 years related experience
• Knowledge or background in digital imaging categories, especially DSLR category, is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills of complex issues are required
• Strong knowledge of industry and competition is needed
• Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and have strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to effectively manage in both a team and cross-functional environment
• Must possess computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Ttravel required approximately 5% of time
