The Expert Financial Analyst is a key member of the organization providing accounting and financial reporting, and forecast support, and department leadership for the HD Division of Sony Electronics Inc., specifically supporting the Home Audio Video business This position provides financial support with an emphasis on driving Sony's major business initiatives. Job responsibilities include financial analysis, budget preparation, and month-end close activities along with preparing presentations, expense distribution reporting, special projects, and analysis for senior divisional management. The position partners with senior business managers and business managers providing guidance on GAAP, SG&A analysis and aid in cost reduction initiatives. The individual also serves as a financial advisor to multiple high profile projects; assists in the preparation of financial estimates and ROI Analysis; provides monthly updates on actual costs to budget figures; and provides leadership, training and guidance to less experienced staff. Additional duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required or equivalent
• Must have 5 to 7 years of related experience
• CPA/CMA/MBA is a plus
• Must have solid experience managing trade promotions
• Excellent working knowledge of financial systems (Hyperion, Oracle, SAP, A/R, Business Warehouse and G/L)
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Access)
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision
• Strong Business acumen, GAAP and accounting principles, ability to partner with business units, analyze data and make recommendations and not just take direction but exhibit accountability for business unit results
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills required
• Experience with leading a team and defining project specifications while driving project results
• Must be self-motivated self-starter, analytical and independent while keeping management informed of activities
